Hello,
it's the first time I come in this interesting formum.

My question is :
I have created a shape in modeling. I want to multiply it in different positions. These positions are defined by different points in a specific sketch.
Do you know how to do ?

Thanks for your answer. Good bye !!!

Hello !
I'm working with : NX 7.5.3.3

Fortunately, after multiple research, I've found an answer to my question. The process is :

Instance geometry
Select the type "From/To"
Select the geometry to instance
Select the "from location" point
Select the "To location" point

If multiple instance needed :
- clic a second time on "specify point" of the "To locations" line
- repeat this action as much as needed

This first solution is working but I have to select each point which is long and the risk is to forget one point.
Today, I'm going to try the other solution :
Instance geometry
Select the type "along path"

If somebody know a tutorial, I'm very interested in.

Good bye.

If you forget to select a point, you can edit the feature and simply add the forgotten point. - Or Remove points by expanding the "list" field .
-It is that simple :)

Tomas

Note that starting with NX 8.0, the new 'Pattern Feature' function includes the option to create what is called a 'General' pattern. One of the characteristics of this General pattern is that you can use a 'Sketch of Points' as reference, meaning that a copy of the original object (body or feature) will be created for each Point in the sketch. And that editing the sketch will cause the copied objects to move OR EVEN TO CHANGE IN QUANITY IF YOU WERE TO ADD OR REMOVE SKETCH POINTS.

Hello John and Thomas !
Thanks for your help. Problem resolved !
For information, after checking, the process "Instance geometry --> along path" is not what I wanted but I will keep it mind for futur applications.

Good by from France and many thanks !!
