New Boeing 787 troubles 1

Now there is a new problem with some 787s. No detail about what the issue is, other than to say it's a manufacturing defect related to fuselage section connections.

Another artifact of trying to farm out too much of the work without enough oversight.
Person A designs and builds this part, and person B designs and builds the next part.
Who is responsible for connecting them? It comes back to proper scope definitions.
On the first airframes they didn't even have fasteners for the fuselage segments.

Well, to look on the bright side, the timing for production problems turned out to be just about perfect, with covid virtually shutting down the demand for new aircraft.
Boeing is going to need a big shovel to dig themselves out of this hole they created.
