I'm wondering if anyone has designed anything near Brazos, NM. IBC snow load map shows it is a case study area, but I can't get anyone at the county or the state to give me any information. Any thoughts??

Case study areas are usually high altitudes. I would think you could get some sort of statistics from national the weater service.

Brazos is a funnel. Sometimes they can get some big snowfalls. You could contact the local NRCS office there. I wouldn't think it would be that much more than Chama though, which is only a few miles away.

I would ask the local building official - either Brazos or the state if Brazos is not the authority. Even if the building official does not know, if you do select a ground snow load, the building official should be told to avoid a hiccup during plan review.

It might be worth cehcking the Army Corps of Engineers. We use there guidelines fro New Hampshire which is by ASCE standards mostly case study.
