NFPA 54 Fuel Gas Code Question

Hi guys. Working on a potential project for a building fuel gas system which is NFPA 54 code. My scope is to select the pipe supports (hangers actually) and anchors. My first idea is to model the system in CAESAR and run the calcs, spacing the hangers using table 7.2.5.2 in NFPA 54. That will give me the vertical (operating weight) and horizontal (seismic) loads to be supported, then I just select the supports from the manufacturer's catalog. Problem is I have no experience with NFPA 54 systems; I'm a process plant (B31) guy. Should I proceed on that basis, or sit this one out and sub it to someone with NFPA 54 experience? Thanks guys! The pipe is likely schedule 40 black steel with threaded malleable or welded fittings. Use of clevis type hangers is common. Support is typically every 7 feet for 1.5" and smaller, 10' for 2" to 6", and 12' for larger. Additional support at valves, tees, elbows, regulators as well. Vertical pipe should be supported at each level or 15' maximum. Typically, anchors are only at the appliance connection, if at all.
