hello all,
I'm doing my first analysis using ansys 14, modeling concrete column confined with CFRP using SOLID65 and SHELL181 (membrane only), the shared nodes were merged for perfect bond. the concrete modeled using (concrete and DP). the column fixed at the end and displacement is applied on the other side. I tried all options and the answer does not converge each time it stopped at the same time even when I change loading options. options I tried:
small and large displacement, apply loads instead of displacement, different substeps.

did I miss something? Any recommendation is appreciated.

thank you.

What is the error message?

------------
See faq569-1083 for details on how to make best use of Eng-Tips.com

There is no error or warning messages at all, just non convergence. I thought that could be a failure of structure, but it didn't reach the maximum capacity.

I was able to run it with displacement , but it doesn't work when applying force
