Not possible to select certain threaded holes using Hole Callout

Hi all,

I am using NX9 (9.0.1.3).

There is a strange problem I am encountering. I have several threaded holes on a part. A Section View was generated from it. I used Hole Callout to dimension the threaded holes for 2D drawing. But one of the holes cannot even be selected. This is not the first time I have encounter this.

For details, please see attached file. Does anyone know how to fix it? I tried using Feature Parameter but nothing shows up.

Thank you for letting me know it's a bug. I thought I just need to tweak some setting to make it work.

The only thing I miss from SolidWorks is the ability to place thread size dimension anywhere along the thread easily. NX fixes the placement to one location only, and it's not changeable.

I know Hole Callout is new to NX 9, and it's a vast improvement over Feature Parameter, but I really hope Siemens would make it their top priority to make it work as well and as intuitive as SolidWorks'. Other than that, I love working in NX.

I was just notified that my PR was converted into an ER (Enhancement Request) due to the fact that the new NX 9.0 Hole Callout function was intended to replace the old 'Feature Parameters', which it did, including the fact that the old function also could not handle holes drilled into the side of a cylinder. Therefore, there is no loss of capabilities using the new NX 9.0 Hole Callouts versus the older Feature Parameters function, which it replaces. They will consider this enhancement for a future version of NX.

Any update on this? This is a serious day-to-day usability issue for us and has been since the feature parameter callout was introduced.

I can assure you that this will not be considered until the NEXT version of NX and I don't mean the one that we're currently beta testing, but rather the version after that one.
