I'm having trouble finding an expansion joint that will work with potable water piping. The situation is a 100 ft 2" CPVC riser in a shaft with domestic hot water (140 °F) and I believe the expansion I calculated is about 4-1/2". There is not room to do any offsets or U loops in the shafts so I think I really need an axial expansion device.
I found one that will work from Flexicraft but it's not NSF 61 certified and I can't find much else from other manufacturers. Has anyone run into this issue before or have any leads on manufacturers that make something for this? I don't see an exception in the IPC for thermal expansion devices either. Thank you.
