NX 7.5 drafting help

I have a cylinder with 2 more cylinders inside of it. The 2 inside cylinders are longer than my actual piece, but I need to show those for interference purposes on 1 side. What is the best method for removing just a portion of the 2 inside parts? If I do a back clip it will remove part of my piece as well. Any ideas on this?

Can you provide at least am image of your model and perhaps even a pciture of what you're looking for in terms of the final drawing view?

hmmm... I don't think so. Let me try to paint a picture, haha.

Imagine a 20oz. bottle of water. Cut the bottom of it off, then put another cylinder item in from the bottom. If you left the 2nd cylinder hanging outside of your cut, you wont be able to see the other side of your water bottle. So how would you remove the inside cylinder showing your water bottle again? I only need to remove a portion of the inside cylinder, because I still need to see the interference around the mouth opening of the bottle.

I think a Break-Out Section will do it for you.
You may want to do a search in here for that, and read some of the other posts on the topic, because it can be tricky to use the first time.

If the inside cylinder is close to the same diameter as the water bottle, I will cut through the water bottle before I remove all the inside section. Or I may not be understanding how the break-out section works... I will investigate that method some more.

You can split the inner cylinders by a plane and, in drafting, hide some of then by using view dependent edit or layers
