Thanks.

It is possible to hide a certain component in a drawing view.

I am on NX7.5 now, so I am not certain where the command is in NX8,
but you may want to utilize your "command finder" and enter hide component in view

What's happening today? This is the third question concerning editing the appearance of lines in a Drawing view.

To save time, just follow the instructions in the thread below, just instead of using the 'Line Width' item, use 'Line Font' and pick the 'Invisible' option. Then follow the same steps as outlined there.

Now that I look at Jerry's response, are we talking about hiding the entire Component or just some of the curves seen on the Drawing>

Well, other question is about Lines Drawing that I didn't find yet.

Is it possible to show dashed or hide lines of just one component an assembly drawing view?

Thanks

I taght about drawing view, show or hide lines of a component while the rest remain on the same way.

the entire component

yes, "view dependent editing" is the way to go if you just want parts of the component invisible

Yes, you can use something called 'Render Sets'.

While in your Drawing, go to...

Preferences -> Drafting -> View

...and at the bottom of the page, select the 'Define Render Set' button. Then select the Component(s) that you wish to change the appearance of (you can select it any view that's convenient), enter a name in the 'Current Set' widget, select the 'Visible Lines' button, change the 'Font' (middle list) to whatever you wish and then hit OK. Now select the view that you wish to see the Component modified in, press MB3 and select the 'Style' option. Now in the 'General' tab, in the middle of the page, select the 'Define Render Sets in View' button and you will now see in the second area a list of the 'Render Sets' that you've defined for this Drawing. Select the one of interest and then select the 'Add' button above it that just became active. Now hit OK a couple of times and you should see what you're looking for.
