NX 9.0 Select Face Error

I am in the process of testing 9.0 when I change my filter selection to face and click on a face i get a error that NX License Error: license server system does not support this feature [-18]

What is the default setting when selecting a face?

do you have access to your license server ?
On the license server, there is a logfile which tells what license NX either selected / checked out/ uses or, tried to check out with failure.

It's in the same directory as the license software and "on my license server" it's named "splm_ugslmd.log" but can be named / placed somewhere eles. ( If someone has bothered to.)

The logfile is a plain textfile, the last line in it will report what didn't work.

It's a bug. I've logged one for a customer where that error happens if you RMB on a Mirror Geometry feature.
There are also PRs logged for the same error if you set to Solid in the filter or for Pattern Geometry.

Log it to GTAC as the more people the log a similar error, the more likely it will fixed quickly. Here are PRs, that I'm aware of:

PR6954723 - Licence Error is raised when setting Type Filter to Solid and using MB3.
PR1958725 - NX Visual Reporting license required to edit 'Pattern Geometry' feature in NX 9
PR2227880 - NX9 - NX Visual Reporting license required to RMB a Mirror Geometry feature

I run a distributor license, i get the same license warning ( with the difference that i have the license) when i select a face and RMB.
( i had this in mind when i wrote the previous post)
In my case the face is from a Extrusion, not pattern nor mirror.

I guess it's related to not having a license for HD3D. I logged two IR's.

I was told there would be a fix for this in 9.0.1, which should come out at the beginning of 2014.
