I am currently using NX9. Until a couple of months ago I was still using NX3. I have
several title blocks and charts that were created in the older version of NX that are
basically curves. When I import them into NX9 drafting I can't move them. Is this
something that can still be done? Is there something in my settings that I need to
change? Thanks in advance.

In NX3 you were probably using the "transform" command to move the curves, yes? The move and copy functions have been removed from the transform menu; the new command to use is called "move object". This command can be found at menu -> edit -> move object or through the command finder.

If you really can't do anything with them, you may need to resort to the command "Smash View". I've had that happen with I-DEAS 2D entities when migrated to NX 2D.

I am using the move object command. When I do object information it tells me they are lines and text. I
did a search for the Smash View command and we must not have DraftingPlus license. It told me what it was
but did not give me any options.

I would open the files and use copy/paste versus import. When you paste, you should have options to also move the objects being pasted (or leave them as-is). I feel it's a bit more user-friendly. Line/text combination "charts" can be replaced with newer, and in my opinion easier to manage, Tabular Notes (basically similar to a Word table).

Also, it might be a good idea to practice on some very simple things and get a feel for the NX9 behavior versus trying to learn it on the fly as you're doing this.

Thanks all! I gave up and am now creating a tabular note instead of the imported chart.

Smash view is probably not relevant when the origin system is NX3.
Are these curves and notes placed on a non-selectable layer ?
Open Layer settings - then select one note or one line, the assigned layer will highlight in the layer settings dialog.
If the first box is grey, that layer is non-selectable.
Information -Object IGNORES layer non-selectable status, - so that we always can query any object.

I had actually brought the file in on the work layer. Thanks.
