NX2- How to delete unwanted curves

Have a question regarding how to delete a group of curves.

Situation: Rectangular pick a group of curves. Some of them have features associated with. When hit delete ctrl-d in NX2 it only deletes unused curves. But in NX6 it gives a warning. And either you delete them all (which the used curves are deleted as well leaving my features hanging), or you can not delete anything. This is very annoying when all the curves are mixed together. Have to pick them out one by one. Can someone help me with this? THX

In NX2 if you want to delete the curves, you will first have to delete any features that use the curves. For example, if the curves are used for an extrude feature you will first have to delete the extrude; when the curves are no longer used for any feature (with a few exceptions) you will be able to delete them. You can use Information -> object to see what feature(s) the curve(s) are used for.

If you only want to delete the unused curves you can switch off timestamp mode and look in the 'unused objects' folder. From here you can easily pick out and/or delete only the unused curves.

Thanks. Never switched off timestamp in NX2. Guess have to move on now.

One thing to add for our cam users: I started using this method a while back to clean up files that have a lot of unused legacy cam related geometry. While it works well on the design side, it will occasionally delete objects used for cam. So for me, I delete a group of items then check to see if there are any red flags on the cam operations. Usually it's deleting the "unused" groups with points and such.
