With the new advanced hole feature in NX5, is it possible to select ANSI holes/threads in a metric part (and metric holes in a english part)?

Yes, under "Settings" in the threaded hole dialog.

Yes you can ...

Open "settings" (at the bottom of the thread dialog window) and you will be able to scroll to find the thread that you want, both inch and metric.

The length of the thread (and all the other sizes) will be in the units of the file - so if you are in a metric part and are putting in a UNC thread with a 1 inch long thread then enter 25.4 for that.

A tip ... sometimes I have been getting an error when end chamfers are toggled on so make sure those are toggled off - they really don't do much.

The chamfer 'error' only occurs during editing and it's not really an error, but rather an 'alert' which it turns out is meaningless so you can ignore it. However, we have fixed it so that now you will not see the alert anymore.
