NX5 & TC: Datasets UGPart file use a UGMaster

I am relatively new to UGS and the company I work for is just upgrading from NX 2.0 to NX 5.0. We utilize TCE as well.

In UGS 2.0 we have a Master Dataset which is used for the 3D model, and create a Part Dataset for the drawing files (named the same with '-DWG' appended to the name).

Upon the opening of the "dwg" dataset, the orginal master dataset was inserted automatically as the initial component part (NX2). Does anyone know what we need to do in order to set this up for NX 5.0 & TC?

All our items are created and assigned P/N in TC, not in NX.

Look at your ugii_env.dat file in NX2 vs NX5, and look in the customer defaults in NX5 for drafting naming. Make sure they are correct to your company naming convention.
