Hi,
our company just upgraded from NX2 to NX6 and I'm the one who got stuck setting up the plotter. I followed all the directions I could find on how to set up my plotter, and it will plot out prints, but when the plotter is finished printing, the job is still in the queue it says it is still running. i dont know if i need to set up a reset or terminate file or what. i'm using HP Designjet 500. anything to help me out would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone at all know how to set up plotters correctly???

PRINTER ADMINISTRATOR - create a new printer model under the models tab and
configure it as follows :
printer name : designjet 500
CLASS : Raster rtl/rgb
HPPL model: field is populated with PCL3GUI
feed type: both
Once created under Advanced options, set the :
rendering : +RGB +PCL3GUI
Post processing : +RGB.
Now create a new printer in the ideas printer administrator (printers tab) and
use the newly created printer model. NX should now be able to use this as
a printer model and successfully print to this printer.
thx answerpages

Well, that did work, it plotted just fine, but it still stays stuck in the queue after the plot is finished. i have to do a CTRL + ALT + DELETE and manually stop pm_bps_executor.exe from running to plot another job.

make sure you used
:
UGII_SDI_SERVER_CFG_DIR=

UGII_SDI_OVERRIDE_HOME=(set to a scratch/temp Directory.)

NOTE: Do NOT set the path of UGII_SDI_OVERRIDE_HOME to be the same as the path
in the UGII_SDI_SERVER_CFG_DIR variable.
thx ugsanswer

I had the first variable already setup but what does

UGII_SDI_OVERRIDE_HOME=

do? I just set it to a c:\temp folder.

Well I set up that new environment variable and that seems to have done the trick. thank you very much!
