Any one know why all features in the part being waved do not show up in the list of features for timestamp editting in the linked body?

So did it show up at a differnt time (like when you first created it), but not this time?

Only one feature shows up in this part.
Never anything else

Other parts work fine.

Could this be you 'problem'?

If you WAVE-Linked a solid model, even if it contains many features, the WAVE-Linked body itself is only a single feature. The original features are NOT carried over since it's the BODY that is being WAVE-Linked.

John,

As mentioned before I am using Wave Geometry linker. We do not have a advanced wave license for this site.

When I wave a solid body (feature driven) into an assy, I do have features listed in the timestamp edit listing for editting that wave-linked body. We have been successful using this for many parts with the exception of 2 brackets. The model structure looks sound, however only extrude(7) is listed while editting the wave-linked body. The part has 14 features. Extrude(7) is the base feature with a subtract boolean and then 3 hole operations. If I remove parameters from the part and then add required features; those features do show up in the timestamp mark with edit wave-linked body - edit parameters. It appears "wave" has some problem with the boolean in this paticular file.

Pls see attached pdf of screen shot. Prior to modification of this part as said; only one of the features showed up.

any ideas???

The problem is to rely on a "technique" as a work around that involves editting wave linked body's timestamp. It is about consistency in regard to a problem that some of the time while editting parameters for a linked-body, the timestamp edit displays all features for the linked body and at other times the features do not show up in the timestamp listing for a waved body...

The pdf shows one that works well... What I was explaining was the situation we had where it didnt work so well.... in that case only one of 14 features was listed.... I would like to know what causes some linked bodies to list all features and why some do not.

Without seeing the actual models, that will probably not be an easy thing to determine.
