NX7.5 Program Size?

Hi all,

I've just been removing some software from my PC using add/remove programs, and I noticed that NX7.5 has only a 575MB file size.

I've checked the CD and it's about 2GB in size.

I remember when I had NX6, the file size was in the region of 3GB.

Now I'm trying to figure out if the full NX7.5 has been installed.

Has anyone got any advice please.

It depends.
Have you installed CAST? docs?

NX7.0 with documentation and cast "weights" 5.8gb

I haven't installed the Docs or CAST yet. Isn't CAST a separate program? I still have NX6 CAST on my PC, and I can see it in add/remove programs it's has a size of 1.2GB.

This has me quite puzzled. I'm going to go through the program and see if everything is working.

Yes, CAST is separate program, but it can by placed in C://program files/ugs/nx7 folder (eg). As for proper program size on disk right click on the folder nx7.5 and pick "properties". There you will see exact folder (and program) size. add/remove programs sometimes shows nonsences.

Your correct. I've done what you said and the NX7.5 folder size is 4.5GB.
It's just that the add/remove programs had me a bit concerned.

The size of my copy of NX 7.5.3.3 (the latest MR which will be available next month), on disk, is 6.98 GB but this includes 1.97 GB for Documentation, however I do not have CAST installed. All other modules and software options were installed so this about as big as it will ever be for anyone (without CAST). The absolute minimum, if you removed all the modules and administrative files, would be around 1.20 GB.
