NX7.5 TC - moving 2D data from one sheet to another 2

I'm wanting to export 2D data from one NX .prt file to another using the following path : -

File > Export > Part Specification (select 'existing').

The objects are selected and then exported - but to, what was, a non-existing sheet 2 of 2. Why is the selected data not imported into an existing sheet 1 of 1? And how can I get the data, as copy and paste does not function in NX7.5 TC, to sheet 1?

What sort of '2D data' are we talking about?

Annotations, curves etc. - simple entities of which I would have expected to have been able to import/export across NX files.

Once the objects have been 'exported' to the second sheet of the existing part file, simply 'Copy & Paste' them from 'Sheet 2' to 'Sheet 1' and then delete the now unneeded 'Sheet 2'. Granted, it would seem as if you should be able to copy the selected objects directly to the original sheet, but this 'workaround' should get your job done anyway.

John, many thanks for your input.

I've tried, without success, to copy/cut and paste from sheet 2 to 1 - and oddly enough this malfunction occurs in both native and Tc NX. The response dialog on the failed attempt reads "None of the objects selected are supported for Copy" (screenshot of response dialog is attached).
Unless there's a customer default not set correctly then I'm at a bit of a loss.

The help is really appreciated.

In the testing that I did I was able to 'Copy & Paste' a series of curves and notes which I had 'Exported' from another drawing. Exactly what sort of objects did you Export from your first drawing to the second?

I've just ran more tests, one export note to an existing NX file with text associated to view and another test dissociated from view with both tests run in native NX and within Tc.

jerry1423 - many thanks for the 'associated to view' thought and the malfunction only occurs with note if associated to view. As I was initially trying to export curves and notes I had assumed that the issue involved all entities - this is not the case. The exported data still imports into the desired existing NX file and to a new drawing sheet but this, now, is just a minor issue.

Many thanks once again guys.
