Has anyone tried to export an "Old" style User Defined Feature ?

well, hm, ...
I think UG V15 ( !) introducedthe current type of UDF, which since then have had an option in the customer defaults to use the pre V15 type...

You have to make the change in customer defaults as Tomas suggests.

We try the new style each release, hoping that they adopt the same behaviour as the "old" style. I guess it'll never happen.

The difference is that the old style works like a "tool solid", it updates within its own model space, the new style interacts with the target geometry.

Consider adding a hole ... you see a tool solid of the hole, and as you make changes to it : counterbore, countersink, with/without chamfer it updates within its own model space. That's how the old style of UDF works.
