Hi,
Im trying to find some kind of add-on program for AutoCad that would allow me to itemise objects created within a drawing. It would be mainly for pricing purposes, so something that would create a list from an existing library of components possibly? It may just be one of my contract manager being lazy but hey.

Anyway, if anyone knows of anything along those lines, could you point me in the right direction?

Thanks

Jon

Do you mean that you want a count of each certain block in your drawing? I have seen "block counter" routines before. You can apply pricing once you have your counts.

Yeah thats the sort of thing im looking for, is there anywhere I can download a program or something like that?

As an alternive solution, may I suggest using attributes to generate object pricing or bill of materials. The ATTDEF (attribute define) command allows you to create attribute text and specify how it is displayed. Using the ATTEXT (attribute extract) command, you can extract attributes from a drawing into a list or report form. The beauty of this approach is that you can assign attributes to drawing in your library. Hope this helps - John
