Hi All!Does anybody know how can we design a dissolved gas flotation unit for the treatment of oily water? Thanks a lot...

Thanks Orenda, I'd like just to ask you about a standard API (or an other standard)that design a dissolved gas flotation for treatment of oily gas.

Ceramic membranes are able to separate oil and water with a maximum oil content inside filtrate about 5 ppm.
These type of membrane are laready used onboard for bilge water treatment.
Orelis Environment, located in France, provides KLEANSEP membrane (Best regards

Thank you hprorelis for these informations. This technique is very interresting but in our case we're applied to design a flotation gas unit.

Some rough criteria:
1. Decide if you want straight flow saturation, partial flow saturation or recycle flow saturation. If your plant is small, go with straight flow saturation, other wise recycle flow saturation is the most popular.
2. Design saturation vessel based on 5 min residence time.
3. Design your flotation vessel based on 1-2 hours residence time depends on your temperature.

Thank you shahyar.Some parameters of our design are listed below:
Flow rate = 200 m3/h
oil content = 200 ppm
Temperature = 40 °c
We want recycle flow saturation.
