We're a small structural engineering firm looking for advice on getting either an older HP 650C from a another engineering firm relatively inexpensively vs buying a new HP 510. Currently we run an old version of AutoCAD but that will be changing soon, and our plotting needs are limited. My concern is that the 650 will be obsolete and I'll be buying a new plotter anyway. Does the 510 do anything the 650 can't? Thanks, smb

What was the result?
any tips?
I'm considering buying a new plotter and would like to know how it went.

Dear smb4050 and Miner99er

HP Designjet 510 is widely promoted by the resellers. Maybe it is due to the price of the printer which is low, the printer does not come with network connectivity (LAN) and the printing speed is slow.

If you are looking for A1 size plotter, please consider:
1. HP Designjet T620 or
2. Canon iPF650

If A0 size is what you need, please consider:
1. Canon iPF710,
2. Canon iPF750 or
3. HP Designjet T770.
