HAPPY NEW YEAR...

Well, the IT person reloaded my Windows 10 and a fresh reinstall of Solidworks 2018...NICE, now the problem...

Initial I had a different vault added (created by the PDM Administrator here). An "S" drive was added to my computer, and that is where I was working. The IT guy removed that and has me looking from my "C" drive to my files. BUT, when I try opening my old files it shows files checked out in the OLD location.

Seems confusing, and even myself typing this confused me. Hope it makes a little sense.

Not sure what I need to do. I can't UNCHECK OUT anything, or check anything in. When I open the main assy, it, of course, can't find anything because it looking for a marker in a directory that doesn't exist any longer.

Thank you for any help.

This is the number one reason why everything must be checked into the vault prior to upgrading and makes major changes to your PC. I assume your IT people don't know that.

You might try RMB the file and going to the properties and see if its set to read-only. Maybe unchecking that might help. However to be honest I would just call your VAR and have them help with this issue because the last thing you will want to do is mess up the vault further.

Oh, I will take responsibility for NOT checking in items beforehand. Unfortunately, the IT guy is not really understanding of PDM and Solidworks workings, and the PDM administrator was not in when this updating took place...
