It´s well, but i need to connect a CPM1 CPU with my PC through a RS-232c adapter. I wanna now the pin out for the connector in both sides of the serial cable.

Thank´s

Cesarm

The connector on the CPM1 is not RS232C level signals. Instead, it is TTL level signals. You need a CPM1-CIF01 adapter and then the serial cables in the post above will work.

Jay, he mentions that he has a CIF. Therefore he should only have to build a cable.

cesarm, please confirm that you have a CPM1-CIF01. If you have, then you build a cable from the cables at the link, use ether Syswin or CX-Programmer (recommended), set up communications and away you go.

Yes, OldPfart, I´m using a CPM1-CIF01 and SYSWIN programming software too. I have tried to connect and download the program but SYSWIN warning me that there is not response of PLC.

You need to check your cable and the comms settings in Syswin. You can also change the comms rate. I have set quite a few PLCs i=on projects to 19.2 kbaud. If Syswin is set at 9.6 kbaud, no comms will take place.

If you can get a copy of X-Programmer, it has a PLC "auto search" function. Makes life much easier. Will detect the PLC and give you the comms settings.

OldPfart, How can I get a copy of X-Programmer?

By X-Programmer I think you find more luck looking for CX-Programmer. this is the latest Omron software and is good to use, not that syswin was bad.

One thought I have installed a few laptops with PLC software. Sometimes the internal achitecture of the laptop means that COM1 is the internal modem and the COM port on the laptop is COM2.

Another trick is to disable the internal modem or the program sometimes will not pick up the com port but the modem instead. Depends on the laptop and the OS.

Yep. CX-Programmer is great to use, particularly V4.03.
