Is there one way valve that allows a liquid flow in one direction and prevent air flow (under pressure) in the other direction?

Thanks for any help ...

"There is no valve that can differentiate between air and liquid to the point where it can let one pass, but not the other".

Other than an automatic air-bleed valve of course, but that's not what the OP is looking for.

As 3DDave says, it's basically a check valve but you may struggle to find one that's 100% leak-proof when used with air.

let me get this straight; you want a valve that allows liquid one way and as it flows thru the "check valve, it mixes with air on the downstream side of the check valve but you don't want the air to flow backwards thru the "check" valve,is that it?

"Is there one way valve that allows a liquid flow in one direction and prevent air flow (under pressure) in the other direction?"

Wouldn't a "one-way" valve prevent any reverse flow, whether gas or liquid?

Mechanical check valves typically operate based on a pressure differential across the valve seal interface. The valve cannot tell the difference between pressure from liquids or gasses.

One way to prevent any entrained air within a liquid from back flowing thru a check valve would be to orient the valve vertically such that any gas bubbles would naturally migrate away from the valve discharge port.

And on that site: "Marokay - you asked virtually the same question on this forum over a year ago. Have you considered giving up on the project?"
