Optimization from anchorage bars in concrete 2

Hello,

Usually, the reinforced bars have been anchored in a way that until the complete anchorage length is not developed, the bars do not contribute (see following figure):

But, I am wondering if it can be taken into account some type of contribution, in a linear way or other, since the anchorage starts to its end:

Because in this case, with the same reinforcement the ultimate load can be a bit larger:

What do you think?

Any paper or guideline where this is explained?

The capacity of partially-developed bars is usually ignored, I believe, out of convenience. Our girder analysis software checks sections with partially-developed reinforcement, if the actual end location of the bar and development length are input.

(3) The resistance of bars within their anchorage lengths may be taken into account, assuming a linear variation of force, see Figure 9.2. As a conservative simplification this contribution may be ignored.
