Hallo!
I would like to have clarified, where the minimum flow orifice at refrigerant pumps must be placed.
Normally we place it short before the suction vessel in order to "reduce the two phase flow" as much as possible (In the orifice sometimes gas is created, IMHO)
I would like to know whether this is really necessary. In an actual project I would like to install this orifice close to the refrigerant (ammonia -50°C) pumps due to maintenance aspects. After this orifice the ammonia streams upwards approx. 5m to the vessel.
Must I expect problems? Any advice welcome
Kind regards
