Hi all,

Can someone tell me how to model a steel trussed- or a concrete PARAMETRIC roof (curved in the horizontal plane, NOT A DOME)? I am a structural engineer and need to model such roof having multiple curved control lines. I managed to model it using revit but it's not an analytical object. Can anyone suggest a method, software, or any reference that can help me?

Thanks in advance,
Ahmed.

since you have it modeled in Revit you could use Dynamo to map the curves to numerous x,y,z points and output the results to an excel file to paste into any node based software package.

thanks, Celt83. I'm learning Dynamo but it takes time as you know.
