Parasolid output resolution

So here's my issue:

I am working in 2 CAD systems: NX 8.5.3 and a little known system called CoCreate. We are in the process of launching NX and we still have users working in CoCreate and we are trading data back and forth pretty regularly. My problem arises when I try to export a parasolid from NX and open it in CoCreate. The standard resolution in coCreate is 1.0E-6mm. However, the highest resolution I can get on an imported parasolid is 8.8E-4mm. I have tried working through the issue on the CoCreate side but it seems that the highest output resolution I can get on my parasolid parts coming out of NX is 8.8E-4mm.

So my question is, is there a way to change the output resolution on a parasolid coming out of NX?

How are you determining what this so-called 'output resolution' is of the Parasolid model?

On the NX side I guess I am still wondering if there is a way to determine this resolution or if it is just something that is automatically resolved by the software when I export the part to parasolid.

On the CoCreate side when I import the part the maximum resolution that can be used is automatically applied to the part, but I am pretty sure that resolution is being determined during the export process from NX.

Example: If I export a 600mm cube from NX it will import into CoCreate at 1.0E-6mm. However, If I export a smaller designed part (most of what I work in) it will only allow a maximum resolution of 8.8E-4mm or sometimes it is even as low as 1.0E-2mm. These rosolutions are too open for what I need to do with the parts in CoCreate.

So I am wondering if there is a setting somewhere that will allow me to manually control the output resolution of parasolid parts from NX. Since currently it seems to imply that resolution.
 
I assume that "resolution " is some way to set what NX terms "modeling distance tolerance". In NX the modeling distance tolerance should be set once for all, not per model/ project / etc. It is not depending on the overall size of the model.

Have you tried the PTC ATB, it's somekind of translation tool between NX and Pro/E ( I assume that CoCreate is = Pro/E but new name) I have heard positive reviews of the ATB.

I've never heard of anyone ever being able to control the so-called 'resolution' of a Parasolid model from within NX. And while it is true that it can be set, as far as I know this can ONLY be done by whomever created the application which is using the Parasolid toolkit. This means that it's set by the developers of NX and NOT the users. And as far as I know, as we've sold Parasolid development kits (just in case people were not aware of this, Siemens PLM Software owns the Parasolid product which is developed and maintained in our Cambridge, UK, office but which is sold to many companies including such as PTC and Dassault as well as other companies who might be considered competitors) we've recommend that everyone set these options to be exactly the same so as to assure that Parasolid files passed between different systems will all be interpreted exactly the same.

That being said, when I get back to the office on Monday I'll check with our R&D people who work with the Parasolid toolkit to see if they know what might be going on here.
