Part geometry not displayed in Assembly workbench (again)

Hi all,

Before posting the question I did a search first and found that someone in this forum already had a similar problem 3 years ago, unfortunately nobody could help him at that time.

Seems it's my turn now after having to use an older laptop: no part geometry is displayed in the Assembly Workbench. Even in a new CatProduct you can't see the reference planes, only the compass.

But the geometry gets for sure loaded when opening existing assemblies (I see the status bar and checked the load status with Desk)

I also checked the assembly settings to be sure parts get loaded, later on deleted Catsettings and reinstalled but it didn't help either.

I've heard of people having this similar issues with R16, R17, Unix and Windows. so is this a bug or a feature? ) Did someone find a fix for it in the last three years?
Any advice appreciated!

Hi All,
I am missing my XYZ axis display located on the bottom right corner of Catia Display. This happens only in Assembly workbench and not in other ones. A reset of CatSettings and reinstall of the R17 did not help. Has anyone experienced this? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Try a File --> New from on the problem file.

I just tried it and the problem is still there. In fact there are no problem files, only the tree gets displayed with Catproducts which displayed fine on my former computer. Even new empty CatProducts show nothing and keep showing nothing when you insert existing parts!

So far this is what I've done:
-check settings to make sure parts and geometry get loaded
-delete CatSetting file
-reinstall catia
-try opening in P3 visualization
-save New from as DBezaire suggested.

Seems to be a nasty one this time...
