Parts moving – need source please.

We want to move saw tips one at a time. They will travel three inches in a single axis from a nest at the end of the orientation station to a moving table for brazing. We are being quoted $10,000 and up for units that have a whole lot more features than we need.

Does anyone know a source for the simplest off the shelf unit that will do this? Alternatively does anyone know a source for Do It Yourself components.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.
