What would be the best way to model this pedestrian bridge?
First I modeled plates, which you can see in the pic, and from the stresses and moments I can go to design some reinforcement manually. Then I assumed a beam that was 5" thick, 7' wide, and aprox 3.33 ft long. Of course this beam connected through out the arch from one end to the other. This beam, or the plates, both playing the part of the slab for the bridge. Around the perimeter of the slab I added a 12"x12" beam. The 12x12 beam at the ends, into the plane in the XY view, to be resting on top of footings. That would be either spread footings, continuous footings, or maybe pile caps on some short piles. I used 100PSF for my Live load, and self weight as DL. I have not included anything for railing etc.. yet.
