Hi, everyone

As far as i know, in single pile-single pile cap-single column, we generally use Pinned head pile connection, while in pile groups on combined cap supporting core walls or some columns, we generally use fixed head pile connection.

May I know the reason about that? thanks a million

The fixed head conditions (pile and cap maintain right angle to each other; pile bend in double curvature) are not likely to be achieved by the single pile-single cap configuration.
