Pipe Jacking at an angle

I would think you'd just adjust the angle of the jacking pit, or at least the back wall (thrust surface) of the pit. Doesn't seem like it would be that big of a deal to align the pit with the pipe and eliminate the potential issues of lateral thrust.

you will need sufficient room on either side of the pipe for shoring, slab, tracks, and for worker access. and the backstop will need to be perpendicular to the jacks. the front wall will need to support the thrust ring, also perpendicular to your jacks. other than that, your pit can be any shape you want.
