Kindly help,

I had this problem,
one of our customers requires SA 335 Gr.91 (271.5*6.35) pipe ,but we had no supply of the pipes for the thickness of 6.35 mm.Actually We had pipe 271.5*25.2. we have planned to bore the id and get the required thickness of 6.35 mm.Our customer is asking for the mechanical testing, UT and wet MPI on the pipe. Actually we have done all the above testing on pipe with 271.5*25.2.

Is there any alternative to this so that i can take up this with my customer.

Venkat

Your customer is absolutely correct for verifying mechanical properties and soundness after significant removal of material.
