Hi all,
I have a compressed air pipeline in use on locomotive the client has expressed concern over the fatigue/vibration of the line.
What are some good modeling programs for this?
I guess there would be the constant vibration from the locomotive chassis due to the motor. The vibration of the structure on the tracks. The vibration of the fluid. I did a bit at uni on vibration but that was years ago. Calculating the natural frequencies etc
Where would be a good place to start. What are some good pipe vibration programs that might be able to handle something like this?
Or perhaps some some 'good design practice' guides for something like this.
I searched the forums and a lot of the links are dead.
I did see someone mention CAESAR II but it looks like maybe thats for fixed plant?
Thanks in advance
