Is there any direct way to make a plane in NX that will go through two points and will be perpendicular to a plane?

If you project one of the points onto the reference plane, intersect a line through the reference points onto the reference plane to generate a point, then all four points will lie on the plane you want.

Alternative - project both points onto the reference plane. All four points will lie on the plane you want.

The projected point(s) will be on a line perpendicular to the reference plane.

Hi 3D Dave, I understood your point. But what I wanted is if there any direct way to make the plane. In Solidworks it can be done directly. Therefore I thought there should be a easy direct way to do that in NX.

If selecting Inferred and then the points and plane doesn't work I see no other promising options.

Here is the closest way that I see:
Create a line or datum axis through the 2 points
Start the datum plane command (inferred)
Select the line or axis and the existing plane
In the "angle" option, choose "perpendicular" or enter a value of "90"

You are trying to generate a plane parallel to the reference plane. If the two points lie on this new plane, then either point can be used solely to create the plane.

E.g., create the new plane through point 1 and parallel to the ref plane. By default, the second point is coplanar with the first point when compared to the ref plane.

This necessitates that the ref plane be parallel to the line between the two points. If this line is not parallel, then the point pair and the ref plane are incompatible for your purpose.

NX, of course, does this directly.
