Pneumatic Sewage Ejectors

Looking for some assistance on manufacturers of pneumatic sewage ejectors.

Don't see too many so I am not familiar with them.

Any help would be appreciated.

Might do a web search. Haven't seen a new one in years; but, replaced several. Smith & Lovelace use to make one. I think Dakota and Yeomans still have one.

Could not find Smith & Lovelace on a search. A local sewage pump rep suggested them. Maybe they changed their name.

Dakota makes the lift stations for exterior use. I might be able to do this but the client has existing pits. It would be difficult to retrofit with a Dakota unit.

I have found information with Yeomans. They seem to be the only ones who have the pneumatic ejectors which can be located inside a building.

Your right, I mispelled Loveless. Sorry, late evening and wasn't thinkin straight I guess. You found them anyway. Good luck with your project. We typically replace the ejectors with new submersible stations. Clients were having problems finding repair parts.

It seemed pretty impressive.

How would it handle a pair of underwear flushed down the toilet?

That depends if the underwear are still attached to the owner or not.

But in any case, the 4" RamJet will pass a 2.5" sphere without clogging. Rags, underwear, etc. pass without clogging. In fact, I used a 4" RamJet for demonstration purposes with very large jet nozzles and an 850 CFM air compressor.

When I would drop a glove into the suction of the RamJet it would throw it about 30 yards away. Also, it does a nice job of shredding the glove if there is any abrasive material.

Facility has three separate duplex pneumatic sewage ejector stations. This is due to various additions to the facility throughout the past. Ages of the systems are ~44, 38, and 32 years old.

Flow by gravity fills the pots until appropriate level is reached, then valve opens, compressed air from receiver tank forces the waste out and into either a 6", 8", or 12". Operating time is about 15-30 seconds and time between batches is probably 30 minutes. I am estimating the last value.

Looking at your design, something that pops out at me is that it appears it is suited more for continuous operation. With such a small area of flow, I would be concerned with fouling over time, especially the air intake.

The RamJet can be mounted on top of your tank. It will pull a suction on one tank for quick filling while pressurizing another tank for discharge.

If you only have one tank then it pulls a suction on the tank for quick filling, then immediately pressurizes the same tank for discharge. It uses only two check valves.

It is simple and has no moving parts.
