ASME VIII Div 1 UW-40 d), specifies "When pressure parts of two different P-Number Groups are joined by welding, the
postweld heat treatment shall be that specified according to either UCS-56 or UHA-32, for
the material requiring the higher postweld heat treatment temperature".
My question is, if two different materials are joined by welding, for example an UHT material with an UHA material, and the higher temperature for PWHT is for the UHT material, how paragraph is applicable? I understand that it is UHT-56, but why the code only mentions either the UCS-56 or the UHA-32, and it is not mentioned the UHT-56?.
Regards for your assistance.
