Hello!
I am looking to design a connection between a precast core wall & a metal deck concrete slab.
The intention is that the metal deck concrete slab acts as a diaphragm to transfer lateral loads into the precast core wall. More specifically, the idea is to run shear dowels within the precast wall core and these shear dowels to run from the metal deck into the precast core wall and into the precast core landing, see sketch attached. I would like to check with someone if there is an example to design this connection. I assume that the shear dowels should resist the shear lateral forces of the diaphragm. Is there any recommendation of how to design this connection based on Eurocodes??
