We are updating machines to windows 7 and adding more ram to help with the memory errors. Previously our windows xp machines ran 32 bit NX and all pointed to a custom ugii_env file on the network drive. This file didn't work with the new installs of nx 64 bit. The default ugii_env file was used but things like reuse library and symbols weren't showing up. We've tweaked the file using the default and settings from the 32 bit custom file and have gotten these items back. I noticed when the ugii_env file is placed on the network drive the speed of nx updating views and opening files is slower. We have now moved this file locally on each pc to the local drive and the speed has gotten better. Is there any issues with the placement and which is preferred. For now local seems much better. Placed on the network made easy updates for IT.
