I'm an intern working for Texaco Exploration and Production Inc. This summer my job is to measure the thickness of 3- phase separators (oil, gas, water) located on each gas well, this is part of a safety inspection.
For the last few days I have been using an evaluation copy of the program Codecalc 6.3 created by Coade Engineering. Which is about $2500. The program is not too bad, but I would like to check some other out before I decide to buy this one. I heard about one program called Vesscalc and it's been around since early 1990's, but could't find much about it.
Can anybody tell me about any other programs out there, and how they compare to Codecalc if possible? Im basically trying to determine the corrosion rate, thickness of corroded wall, remaining life in years of vessel, among others.
