Hello,

I would like to get the amplitudes after the Harmonic Response analysis using a pre-stressed CYCLIC struture.

I have done the Static Analysis with Rotational speed using the PSTRES,ON and EMATWRITE,YES. This is CYCLIC analysis.

I now need to do the forced response at ND8, I have defined:
/SOLU
ANTYPE,HARMIC
PRETRES,ON
CYCOPT,HARMIC,8,8,1

I then apply the load for the harmonic analysis.

I get then a peak frequency different to that in the pre-stress modal analysis at that Nodal Diameter. It seems that the pre-stess is not being considered in the harmonic analysis.

Do you know why this is? Is there a missing step y my procedure?

Thanks!

I have a feeling that it is not possible to do what you are attempting in workbench. It is possible in Classic, however.

One approach may be to conduct your harmonic stress analysis at 0RPM, and later manually adjust the frequency of response to be closer to what your natural frequency analysis produced (adjusting for dampening, if appropriate).
