Could anyone advise me on the effect a reduction of say 5% ,on the stress values on the strand in a hollowcore unit would have on the load / span capabilities of the slab . I assume that the tension to which the strand is stressed has a direct correlation to the physical properties of the concrete unit and probably the depth of the unit in question .
I am concerned because I have been asked to reduce the stressing values at my place of work , but I do not feel comfortable with this unless the possible effects have beeen investigated beforehand by qualified technicians .
Any help would be most appreciated .

The elastic load capacity would be reduced by approximately 5%, and the limit states capacity of it would not be altered.

I am looking good example to calculate wind bracing for temporary bridge bracing.
