Dear All,

I have another question regarding profile of a surface specification considering GD&T rule. Please refer to the attached picture to have a better understanding of my following explanation.
In the picture you can see a simple cover with a sort of triangular sealing protusion. I need to be sure that the whole shape of the this triangular protusion do not exceed 0.1 mm variation. This must be true along the whole profile.
It is sufficent to specify in a sectioned view this GD&T statment to ensure that the whole profile (From A to B along the whole path on the cover) is on specification? I should consider to add others requirements?
I others word ,If I specified profile of a surface control in a section view this mean that is valide for the complete feature?

Feel free to add any further comments to my thread. Thanks for your precius support.

I think the profile callout as specified is good. I hope somewhere else on the drawing you have the dimensions for both the profile and path that it is swept around. These need to be basic dimensions.

A minor thing about notation: It can be confusing to say "between A and B" and then have the all-around symbol. I know you mean around the rectangular shape of the overall part, but really the all-around symbol literally means around the perimeter of the view shown.
