I don't use these programs often, but I needed to on a current project. I have always found Profis and Powers to be complex and unintuitive. I recently downloaded Simpson Anchor Designer. It seemed to be real easy to pick up and get an answer quickly. Are there feature's in the other programs that Simpson lacks or should I just ditch the others?

Tommy385, are there no competitors to Hilti in Europe? Profis was always a marketing tool here in Australia so free, and I assume the same in Europe in the past. Hilti Australia would also design anchors if you sent them the design info, but I'm not sure if they still do that.

Ramset is a major competitor here and they provide "iExpert" software, so I'm hopeful Profis will remain free.

sure there are, currently the biggest competitor ist Fischer, i would even say they have a bigger market share at least here in Germany.

I think Hilti has 2 Version of the program
a free one and a payed one

Thanks Klaus,

yes it is free, but that's not a Hilti program for anchors.
Let's end this discussion.

Im not looking for anything, just stating that Hilti anchors program now costs some money.
And im done with Hilti :)

The links klaus provided will take you to Hilti's anchor program, which is free.

As klaus mentioned above, it says you have to "pay", but the cost is zero. Maybe you have other reasons to be done with Hilti, but it shouldn't be for their free software - which is free.

Looks like they do have some "handrail" software which is paid for. Not sure anything I calc out so quick once per project really needs software.

CANPRO,

thats a rebar - software -> freeware

thats a Installation - software-> freeware

Please check links before posting

this one is for anchors/Dübel, and costs >0.
But if you go on .com webpage ist costs indeed 0.

Tommy, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. The links klaus provided take you to free versions of Hilti's software. The last link you provided takes you to software that appears to be more than just their basic anchor software, which was the subject of this discussion.

Canpro,
i agree that we do disagree.
lets just all now end this pointless discussion.
