Protecting "hot off the press" components?

Hi folks,
Has anyone got a minimal cost solution for protecting flat gloss components coming straight out of a mould tool. The bubble bags I tried weren't too keen on the residual temperature, and "pigeon hole" boxes proved too costly. (Batch size 1500 units)
Any thoughts greatly received.

A better description of the part along with dimensions may help. (with all due respect, seems to me ya can't get much cheaper than 'pigeon hole' boxes if constructed out of paper product, but tell us what you can about the part and we'll see if we've got any answers)

The component is approx. 300 x 120 x 15mm. One flat face is high gloss, and the material is perrite ABS.

Reusable heat resistant bubble bags would be ideal, if such a product exists.
