Hello,
I'm a student and basically I'm learning PSS/E. I'm using PSS/E Xplore 36 student licence. My goal is to model exact same power grid as my colleague did in PowerFactory and simulate and compare the results. Right now I'm stuck on modeling asynchronous motor. I've used documentations provided by Siemens but there was no luck for me. Also I've searched many forums before and used ChatGPT to help me but I can't find the solution.
In the documentation it's stated that I should/could use CIMTR2/CIMTR4 dynamic model and set It's transient reactance to value that matches Zsource. I've calculated the Zsource using equation that were used in Siemens PSS/E documentation.
The parameters of the motor are:
Prated = 495.2366 kW
Vrated = 0.4 kV
cosFi = 0.8
Efficiency = 99.04729%
Fn = 50 Hz
Rated speed = 1485.709 rpm
Number of pole pairs = 2
Number of phases = 3
Connection = D
Rotor = single cage
Locked rotor current Ilr/In = 9.258882 p.u.
Locked rotor torque = 1.019945 T/Tn
R/X locked rotor = 0.08847106
Torque at stalling point = 4.824457 T/Tn
Slip at stalling point = 0.09
Impedances:
Locked rotor reactance = 0.1823843 p.u.
R/X locked rotor = 0,45
Stator resistance Rs = 0 p.u.
Stator reactance Xs = 0.01 p.u.
Rotor resistance Rr = 0.08207294 p.u.
Rotor reactance Xr = 0.1723843 p.u.
Resistance Rm = 0.08207294 p.u.
Reactance Xm = 4 p.u.
Reactance Xm" = 0.1823843 p.u.
Time constants
Tm" = 0.00707355 s
Tdc = 9999 s
These parameters are pulled out from screenshots that I've got as a reference.
TLDR: How to setup CIMTR2/CIMTR4 dynamic model of an asynchronous motor and what are the needed parameters for it to run correctly.
