Public Address system wiring

Good morning,
I have a query about public address system cabling. What is the maximum distance that a loudspeaker can be placed from the control panel using 100v speaker cabling?

Not that I know of any codes on public address systems, but in general, the limit would be the voltage drop on the cable, for which the current would address, and would depend on the power rating of the speaker.
That said, the voltage can be boosted, but the current would generally be increased for that boost.

Seems to me that would the length at which no sound comes out of the speakers, at which point you'll need to shorten the cable until you do get usable sound.

A 100V public address system will have an impedance matching transformer at the speaker, and taps for the desired power output. So I would expect few details. So back to the desired power output, and voltage drop. But in the case where several speakers maybe on the same cable, it is still down to voltage drop.
