Pump modeling on caesar ii

I want to know how to model a pump in caesar ii that was simply posed.
I modeled the pump as a rigid element with 0 weight.
the pump is allowed to displace horizontally.

Please your advice!!

Typically I model the pump body as rigids that go back to where the pump mounting connections are, that way it can experience vertical & horizontal thermal growth.

The configuration of the pump in your screenshot seems bizarre. Is the pump only supported by the piping and cantilevered connection to the motor/driver?

Agree. Modelling from the fixed anchor bolt location is the conventional wisdom. And do away with the anchors at the pump flanges.

You can use anchor restraints at the pipe flanges and designate Cnodes to the corresponding pump rigid nodes. This allows the anchor to move based upon the pump rigid expansion.
